Dear Runner,
We hope you are well and have been keeping yourself active in these uncertain times. We were so excited to hear the news from the government about allowing mass participation events to take place once again, and now the governing body has produced a set of approved guidelines on how to deliver a covid-19 safe event.
We have been working through these guidelines to make sure we have the capacity and ability to deliver a covid-19 safe 2020 Weymouth Half Marathon. We have submitted our Covid-19 event plan, Covid-19 specific risk assessment, participant and runner code of conduct to the Safety Advisory Group, Key Stakeholders and suppliers for approval.
We are very hopeful that by working closely with the governing body, authorities and key stakeholders we will be able to deliver a Covid-19 safe Weymouth Half Marathon on 6th September 2020 as planned. As soon as we get this approval, we will share more detailed information and plans with you on what to expect from us and what will be different for you. We hope that this will be within the following week.
