Race for Free
We are delighted to announce that we will be teaming-up with Dorchester Casterbridge Rotary to maintain a major running event in Dorchester. The Dorchester Half Marathon will be organised by ourselves with Casterbridge as Exclusive Charity Partners: organising fundraising for local charities as they have in previous years. FREE places are available for anyone who is willing to raise £200 in sponsorship and run for the event’s charities. Click on how to run for free in the file section below for more details.
The Course and Venue
The 2019 Dorchester Half Marathon will start in the beautiful Kingston Maurward College Grounds, run through historic Dorchester and the stunning Dorset countryside and local villages, before returning to the finish line and the athlete’s village at Kingston Maurward. Runners will take on the 13.1miles on a closed road course, whilst running through some picture perfect scenery. And whilst it isn’t a flat course it is certainly less hilly than previous versions with only 600 ft of uphill throughout the entire route.
Check out the event features below to see what you get for your money and entries are now open.
Fancy competing in the Dorset Double? Anybody who enters both the Weymouth Half Marathon (17th March 2019) and the Dorchester Half Marathon will automatically be entered into the Dorset Double FREE of charge and will be eligible for overall and age group prizes based on cumulative times from both events (as well as individual prizes from each event).
Please note that there is a 3 hour cut off for these events with interim cut off points.
